Over the past 15 years, I’ve been hired for many different roles, from intern to management. The number of job interviews must be a few hundred at least; it’s been fun most of the time. The funny thing is that you get pretty good at determining if a candidate is a cultural fit within the first few minutes of the interview. Most of the first-round interviews were online calls, and after the pandemic, I never did the first round of face-to-face interviews again.

But one thing constantly changed the interview tone for good or worse: the paycheck, a.k.a. How much is the salary? This is always a deal breaker for both sides of the table. The candidate usually has something in mind, and the vacancy comes with a salary range based on the applicant's seniority. While LinkedIn is still the leading professional platform for job seekers and job recruitment, there’s one thing that they haven’t cracked yet: salary filters.
