You aren't old

just start

👋 Hi all,

While it has been raining non-stop for days in Amsterdam, I’m trying to get some sunlight in your inbox before the weekend. There isn’t a week that goes by that I don’t meet someone with an idea and the dream to become an entrepreneur somehow. But most people feel they are too late or simply too old. Today’s essay will prove you are not.

My bookmarks are about the new launches of OpenAI (surprise) and why most Gen Zers don’t even have the ambition to work up to become managers.

See you on Tuesday,

Bas

Issue #22

When I was 22 (12 years ago), I was nominated as one of the best entrepreneurs under 25 in The Netherlands, my home country. It's pretty cool but also pretty useless, to be honest. Being young was an advantage and opened a few doors for me since you stood out more quickly than others. Being young was half the PR I needed, and I used it when I could.

I vividly remember my early days, and I felt rushed and thought I was late to the party. Yet again, I was in my early twenty-somethings, so I had plenty of time. The funny thing is that most people over 30 think they are too late for the party. They think they are too old. That they weren’t born as natural entrepreneurs is a shame for me since more experienced people are better entrepreneurs, according to the following study.
